Birth is another very intimate event in ones life, probably ranking number one in importance and intimacy. Being a mom of five, and a grandmother of 4 I have a personal knowledge of what happens in a hospital room on that day. Ive shot many births and I can say 'This isnt my first rodeo' so I know what to do and certainly what not to do. I think this is where my age and maturity come into play. Im not young (and we could have a full blown conversation for hours about this) but I am very young at heart and feel half my age, but I have years of experience which in turn helps me in navigating photographing very personal situations like birth.
